The first SLTA event of the project cycle took place on Friday 29th November with staff and officers from 24 students’ unions attending overall.
Representatives received an introduction to the project from HEA staff member Rose Spencer, Academic Development Officer (Awards and Recognition). Rosa gave an explanation of where the project originated from and the role of the HEA.
The cohort took part in a ‘Planning for the year ahead’ training session before splitting off for workshops which focussed on using media channels to enhance the SLTA project, ways in which students’ unions can empower students to lead the project and implementing a partnership approach to running the SLTA project. All presentations and notes can be found below. Do get in touch with any of the staff members listed if you would like any more information on these particular sessions.
