Welcome to the NUS and Higher Education Academy (HEA) Student-Led Teaching Awards website. We’ve brought together resources and information about all the funded Student-Led Teaching Awards schemes: from Scottish institutions, where the pilot work started, to the range of institutions across the UK which engaged in the project as it was rolled out across the four nations.
NUS and the Higher Education Academy are thrilled to announce the SLTA Cohort for 2013-2014. SLTAs are a positive method of raising the profile of teaching and celebrating best practice. In just three years they have become well established throughout the UK. This year, over 40 applications were submitted and funding has been allocated to 25 students’ unions in total; 18 students’ unions based in England, 2 in Wales, 4 in Scotland and 1in Northern Ireland.
The funding will be used on a variety of activities with sustainability, impact and partnership being the main focus this year. Take a look at the ‘News’ tab for details on this year’s project proposal.
The first meeting for this cohort will take on Friday 29th November of which the resources from this event will be available on the SLTA from Monday 2nd December.
